1. Introduction

Text Editor is a professional file management and code editing application that allows users to browse, create, edit, organize, and manage text files stored on their device or supported cloud storage providers.

Your privacy is important to us. The App has been designed so that your documents remain under your control at all times.

2. No Account Required

You can use Text Editor without creating an account.

We do not require registration.

We do not collect your:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Password
• Address
• Payment information
• Government-issued identification

The App functions without requiring personal information from you.

3. Your Files Remain Under Your Control

Text Editor does not upload, copy, back up, or permanently store your files on our servers.

The App simply provides tools to access and edit files located in storage providers that you choose.

• On My iPhone / iPad
• iCloud Drive
• Dropbox
• Google Drive
• Microsoft OneDrive
• External storage providers supported by Apple's Files app

All editing occurs directly on the selected file.

When you save changes, the file is saved back to its original storage location.

We never maintain copies of your files on our servers.

4. We Do Not Operate Cloud Storage

TechGear INC does not provide cloud storage services.

Your files remain entirely within the storage service you select.

These services are operated independently and are governed by their own Privacy Policies and Terms of Service.

5. Temporary Local Cache

To improve editing performance, Text Editor may temporarily create cached files on your device.

• Exist only on your device.
• Are never uploaded to our servers.
• Are automatically removed when no longer required.
• May also be removed when the App is deleted or when iOS clears temporary storage.

The cache exists solely to improve performance and reliability.

6. File Management Features

Text Editor allows you to:

• Browse folders
• Create files and folders
• Open text files
• Edit documents
• Rename files
• Move files
• Delete files
• Search within files
• Replace text
• Highlight text
• Apply syntax highlighting
• Save directly to your chosen storage provider

Only files that you intentionally select are accessed or modified.

7. Code Runner

Text Editor includes a Code Runner capable of executing multiple programming languages.

• Your source code is processed solely for execution.
• We do not permanently store your source code.
• We do not analyze your code for advertising.
• We do not use your code for AI model training.
• Execution results are shown only to you.

Depending on the language and execution method, code may run locally on your device or through trusted third-party execution services.

8. Analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to better understand how users interact with the App and to improve its functionality.

Firebase Analytics may collect anonymous usage information such as:

• App launches
• Features used
• Session duration
• Device model
• Operating system version
• Country or region
• Language settings
• General diagnostic information

Firebase Analytics does not collect the contents of your files or documents.

This information is used solely to improve the App's performance, stability, and user experience.

9. Crash Reporting

We use Firebase Crashlytics to help identify and fix application crashes.

Crash reports do not include the contents of your files, documents, or source code.

10. Permissions

Text Editor requests only the permissions necessary for its functionality.

• Access files and folders you select.
• Access iCloud Drive through Apple's Files framework.
• Open files from third-party cloud storage providers.
• Import or export files.
• Access shared documents through the iOS document picker.

The App only accesses files that you explicitly choose.

You may revoke permissions at any time through your device settings.

11. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect the App and its functionality.

Because your documents remain within your selected storage provider, TechGear INC does not maintain copies of your files.

Although no electronic transmission or storage method can guarantee absolute security, we continuously work to improve the security and reliability of our App.

12. Third-Party Services

Text Editor may integrate with trusted third-party services, including but not limited to:

• Apple Files
• iCloud Drive
• Google Drive
• Dropbox
• Microsoft OneDrive
• Firebase Analytics
• Firebase Crashlytics

Each service operates under its own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

13. No Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information or files with advertisers or data brokers.

Your documents remain your property at all times.

14. Children's Privacy

Text Editor is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so appropriate action can be taken.

15. International Users

If you use the App outside your country of residence, your information may be processed in accordance with applicable laws governing the services used by the App, including Firebase and your selected cloud storage provider.

Text Editor is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

While we strive to provide a reliable editing experience, we do not guarantee that:

• the App will always operate without interruption,
• files will never become corrupted due to device failures or third-party storage issues,
• every feature will function identically across all devices or operating system versions.

Users are responsible for maintaining backups of important documents.

TechGear INC is not responsible for data loss caused by device failures, operating system issues, third-party cloud providers, accidental deletion, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

17. User Responsibilities

• Use the App in accordance with applicable laws.
• Not use the App for unlawful or harmful activities.
• Respect the intellectual property rights of others.
• Maintain backups of important files.
• Use cloud storage services in accordance with their respective terms.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or technology.
